Public art photos

Public art has been commissioned and put in place for
thousands of years, with a view to educate, record,
commemorate or to promote an idea. In the past
few years it has also been used to engage or surprise
the viewer and for this reason it has a value rather
different to that of sculpture, although there is
significant overlap between the two

Coquimbo, Chile

In Coquimbo, Chile, the slope down from the top to the coast and
the port is steep and the steps have been considered very important
in its history, commemorated in the sculpture at the foot of one
of the flights
