Jersey Lichens
This project lasted for several years, covering
research, photography and book design services.
The book The Lichens of Jersey was published in 2015.
Jersey is a beautiful island and it has been a
genuine pleasure to have been involved in this work
Elizabeth Castle, in the bay outside St Helier, is cut off from the
land by the sea at high tide. The castle was built first in the
reign of Elizabeth I and went through numerous stages of building
and change over the years, including considerable fortifications
by the Germans in the Second World War. For this reason it has
a wide range of lichen species present
